Our prestigious client is seeking an experienced Admissions Assistant who will play a key part in the planning, preparation and execution of all admissions related events, opening mornings, taster days and new pupil days. This is an exciting time in this school's development. Our client is seeking a candidate who will be excited to drive their admissions plans forward.
To apply you will already have experience of working in a school environment and have a driving licence.
Your role as the Admissions Assistant will be to:
- Maintain and update the admissions database
- Implement data-driven approaches to improve the admissions process
- Generate reports to ensure a proactive admissions process
- Serve as primary point of contact for prospective families
- Replying to email traffic in the 'Admissions in-box'.
- Running the weekly Visit Diary
- Booking appointments for prospective families with the Head, their PA and organising tour guides
- To ensure that all visits are followed up
- Assist with the organisation of, and attend Admissions events such as Open Morning, Taster Days, 11+ Assessment Day, Open House and Feeder School events. This will involve evening and weekend work
- Answering the telephone in a prompt and friendly manner
- Ensuring that all planned family visits are greeted by the
- Responsible for stationery ordering and maintaining supplies
- Preparation of all pupil and parent badges for events
The person:
- Experience of working within a school or educational establishment.
- Confident and friendly telephone manner
- Experience of preparation for events is advantageous
- Excellent IT skills particularly within a Management Information System, Word, Excel, Outlook, Mail Merge and data information
- High level of personal presentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- A good understanding of confidentiality, data protection and safe record keeping
- Ability to work within own motivation and targets.
- Flexible attitude: a willingness to work weekends and evenings at key identifiable points in the admissions year
- Ability to be able to drive (to events)
