An Adults Social Worker is required for the Preparation for Adulthood team in Warrington.

The work of the team is driven by an adult legislative framework, including, Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental health Act 1983. Social workers work alongside individuals who have special educational needs and who have illness and/or disability as they prepare for adulthood and continue to work alongside them until they reach 25 years of age.

Experience Required:

• 
  Working knowledge of applying legislation
• Completing strength- based assessments
• Managing risk and working creatively to support young people to achieve their outcomes
• It is desirable for applicants to have knowledge and experience of learning disability or autism or

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Experience working in a Adults Social Work Team
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
