Job Description
We seek an Advanced Analytics Consultant - EMEA colleague to join our American client (one of the most innovative Food and Beverage companies) to be a true consultant and expert for the business on using new Advanced Analytics capabilities with the release of new analytical products in 2024.
- Contract type: Employment contract (agency worker employment contract) - the duration is initially 5.5 months which will get extended for a longer-term if the cooperation goes well in the first 5.5 months.
- Hybrid work (York office): 1-3 days/week on-site (flexible)
Description:
The Advanced Analytics Consultant - EMEA will direct and develop a medium to large team that will maximize the value of data and identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics for new insights to find solutions to strategic business questions. In this role, you will provide leadership to gain an understanding of the business, collect and prepare data, apply data analysis techniques, develop reporting solutions, present findings, and recommendations, outline the value and achieve successful business outcomes and data consumption maturity. You will provide strategic leadership to develop data strategies and deliver data assets and products in the EMEA region.
- Define and establish the strategic roadmap for reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Provide leadership and broad knowledge to translate business needs into reporting and analytics opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous innovation and provide guidance and direction on new analytical tools, data visualization approaches and analytics methodologies.
- Provide strategic leadership and partnership to recommend solutions or improvements to business processes and leverage data and analytics techniques.
- Act as a champion of the team to remove barriers and facilitate processes that drive successful outcomes.
- Participate in the creation, implementation, and utilisation of Data Government processes and procedures in the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in creating business cases for analytics investment
- Power BI – Frontend and Backend
- Experience in data lake and data warehousing technologies, including coding experience in Python and SQL
- Experience with data modelling and data pipelines
- Expert in software project management approaches including Agile
- Consultative mindset and ability to influence key decision-makers
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience in building Data Analytics capability within the organization
- Experience in analytics technologies like Hadoop, Snowflake
- Experience with Project Management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps
- Master's degree in business administration, analytics, data science or management information systems
