This GP surgery are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their growing multi-disciplinary primary care team. You will work alongside their multi-disciplinary clinical team of GPs, Physician Associates, Pharmacists and Nurses to deliver high quality patient care.
This permanent position is offered on a part-time or full-time basis of 27-37.5 hours per week, worked over 3 or 4 days. Protected learning time, CPD, and support from a dedicated GP supervisor will be provided to help you flourish within the role.
We welcome applications from qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners from all backgrounds, however you must have at least 2 years prescribing experience, and 2 years experience working within an Advanced Nurse Practitioner role to apply.
Main duties of the job
With support from your dedicated GP supervisor, you will provide care for the presenting patient from focused history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. You will demonstrate safe, clinical decision making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the service. You will demonstrate critical thinking in the decision making process. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patients and support the delivery of policy and procedures. You will provide a holistic and clinical service, with support and supervision from GPs, implementing agreed management plans and following approved protocols as appropriate.
Job responsibilities
To work as an autonomous practitioner, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as chronic disease, minor ailments, infection control and sepsis. You will also support the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.
