This is an ideal position for an experienced ANP to join a GP practice in Barking. The position is within a primary care setting and therefore experience in primary care is required. You will be working under the Lead ANP and GP team, to consult with patients presenting with a range of cases.
You will be treating child and adult patients with minor injuries, minor illnesses and other ailments which can be triaged to you. There is a level of autonomous working required, but you will be supported clinically by the Lead ANP and GPs in the practice. It is essential that you are certified and experienced in treating minor ailments and making diagnoses.
You will also be prescribing and advising on medications and helping with some home visits in the local area. The practice sees lots of families and young people and it's located in a central area of Barking which is easily reached by car or public transport, but you must have flexibility to travel between two sites.
Key Duties
- Full time Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Barking
- Working in a GP practice, primary care setting
- Assessing, diagnosing and treating Minor Injuries and Minor Illnesses
- Prescribing medications
- Referring onto other clinicians within the practice, or external services
- Working closely with the Lead ANP and the GP team, supporting them clinically
- 15 minute appointments
- Mix of telephone and face to face appointments
Package and Benefits
- 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Band 7 salary (outer London)
- £49,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
