A GP practice east of Colchester is currently looking to hire an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work autonomously alongside two GPs, a nurse, and a Healthcare Assistant to work through a small 2900 patient list.
The role offers flexible hours Monday-Wednesday, with the successful candidate working 10-20 hours per week. In return, the practice can offer several benefits, such as a competitive pay rate of £25 - £30 per hour (dependent on experience), 5-6 weeks annual leave, NHS Pension, paid sick leave, and more!
The practice is in a small town near Essex, has parking on-site, wheelchair access, disabled toilets and a good CQC rating. The current practice partner has been in the role for 13 years and as such enjoys sharing their expertise with their staff.
The town itself brags coastal views, a peaceful atmosphere and is a 30-minute drive from Colchester. There are plenty of bed and breakfasts in the town as people from all over England flock to spend the day at the coast, making it the perfect place to work!
The successful candidate MUST:
- Have experience of working in Primary care.
- Be able to work autonomously within a busy practice.
- Have strong organisation and time management skills.
- Have a Level 7 qualification in minor illness.
- Trained in chronic disease management.
- Be a Qualified nurse prescriber.
Other desirable qualities:
- A Masters level qualification.
- Experience using EMIS.
- Trained in Diabetes and Respiratory care.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Telephone and face to face clinics.
- Seeing acute minor illness, long term conditions, and providing the appropriate care, treatment, and referrals.
- Administration duties.
- Provide care planning, treatment, discharge, and referrals (where appropriate).
- Initiate and interpret diagnostic tests where appropriate.
- Participating in Practice meetings.
- Medication reviews.
