We are in a unique position to recruit either to a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner post (under annex 21) to join our Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient team at Ty Llidiard to join growing MDT and contribute to a developing and improving service.
Ty Llidiard is a 15 bed, regional CAMHS admission unit. You will be expected to have experience of inpatient mental health care and physical health issues experienced by young people.
Ideally you will have substantial experience within your speciality. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of care using advanced autonomous clinical skills, providing appropriate education and advice for informed decision-making regarding assessment, treatment and patient centred packages of care. The successful post holders will play a leading role in further embedding the Advanced Practitioner.
We have an established, dynamic experienced team within Ty Llidiard who are friendly, forward thinking and fully committed to developing knowledge and skills. A commitment to a quality services in clinical practice, putting patients first, patient safety and continuous professional development within the four pillars of advanced practice are integral to the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals undertaking advanced roles and responsibilities traditionally under the remit of junior doctors. The post holder will act within their professional boundaries and will be expected to be a Non-Medical Prescriber and will see patients independently, making autonomous decisions in the clinical and diagnostic assessment of patients within Ty Llidiard. You will need to be studying for or already completed the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. You will be expected to influence all related aspects of care and management of patients and deliver individualised and personalised direct patient care. You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and committed to making a difference, with a commitment to improving practice through ongoing personal and professional development.
Advanced Practitioners will be expected to actively drive and enhance improvement in patient pathways, identify evidenced based changes in practice and lead on improvement projects that directly influence the patient experience
