Job Title: Advanced Vehicle Technician

Location: Olive Grove, Sheffield (UK)

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Hourly pay rate: From 21.00 p/h working 40hrs p/week

We're on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic engineering team as a Shift Technician at our Sheffield depot in Olive Grove, and in return, we'll help take your engineering skills to the next level.

We're looking for an experienced PSV/HGV Technician who is fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment including hydraulic vehicle lifts, pressured oil and waste systems, battery chargers and starters, trolley jacks, scaffolding, pressure wash and automatic washing equipment, headlamp alignment tester, hydraulic jacks and testing equipment, drilling machine, torque wrenches, pedestal grinders and general portable equipment (i.e., air guns, drills, electric and pneumatic hand tools etc) to join our Sheffield depot.

We'll provide your overalls (PPE) and the tools needed to do the tasks mentioned above safely and securely.

About you

• Will you be willing to complete an IRTEC accreditation and re-certification when required?
• Can you demonstrate capability in using current diagnostics, and be willing train staff on diagnostic and repair standards?
• Could you train staff on diagnostic and repairs standards?
• Will you be open to mentoring apprentices in the team?
• Do you have a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level 1&2)?
• A PCV licence isn't essential, we can support you in gaining it.
• Do you have a flexible approach to work?
