Advertising Sales Executive

Duties of the Advertising Sales Executive:

• Achieve and surpass targets for selling advertising space within the classified and display sections of the monthly magazine and website
• Foster relationships with both new and existing clients, identifying opportunities to fulfil their advertising needs and nurture long–term mutual benefit
• Introduce and foster new partnerships, ensuring the attainment of commercial targets, including meeting marketing expectations through advertising and email
• Support the exploration of opportunities to increase advertising revenue through diverse channels, market sectors, and by leveraging business opportunities and developments
• Secure sponsorship revenue for events
• Contribute to the smooth and efficient management of the Advertising Sales process
• Guarantee the timely delivery of artwork to specified requirements

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

• Demonstrate proven success in a sales environment, with a preference for a background in media sales
• Exhibit self–motivation with a dedication to surpassing revenue targets
• Maintain a consistent and credible approach
• Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and cultivate lasting relationships with clients
• Possess strong negotiation skills
• Showcase excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including effective presentation abilities
• Be results–driven with proficient time management, planning, and organisational skills
• Demonstrate a proactive mindset and the ability to think logically, objectively, and creatively
• Feel comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Be a team player capable of collaborating within a multi–disciplinary team
• Have a good understanding of financial performance drivers
• Be open to occasional overnight stays required at major events
• Possess preferred software knowledge, particularly in Google G–suite
• A background in marketing is desired but not essential
• This role involves outbound prospecting through telephone and email channels, with occasional attendance at trade fairs and events away from the office
