About the role
We are excited to be recruiting an Elective Home EducationAdvisory Teacher to support the Haringey’s commitment in ensuring that all young people receive a high-quality education which allows them to reach their potential and live a more fulfilled life. As an Elective Home EducationAdvisory Teacher, you would be responsible for providing advice and guidance to parent/carers wishing to, or who are currently, electively home educating their children in Haringey.
About you
You would be expected to arrange and conduct educational assessment visits to families electively home educating their children. To provide reports on assessments, educational progress and any concerns for each child. This role also involves liaising with professionals to ensure electively home educated children are adequately safeguarded, learning and enjoying their EHE.
The Service is exceptionally busy throughout the year and is a challenging place to work. Applicants must have a teaching qualification with experience of teaching. You will have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, including experience of working with school aged children and with vulnerable families from diverse backgrounds.
It is also desirable that you have knowledge of Elective Home Education legislation and guidance and relevant policies and processes relating to EHE. You will be organised, methodical and able to manage and prioritise your own workload.
