After Sales Support Engineer

After Sales Support Engineer / Permanent/ Norwich- salary £30-£35k per annum depending on experience.

Position 1 Recruitment are looking for After Sales Support Engineer  to join our client design, and engineering manufacturing site based in Norwich. Due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced After Sales Support Engineer  to join their friendly team.

This a brand-new role intended to focus on and support the transfer of newly build machines from the project management team over to the service team, coordinating with the new business team in order to develop opportunities of installation and commissioning work that is not currently being captured.

After Sales Support Engineer will be responsibilities for the following up on spare parts and service quotations for existing and new product across the globe, co-ordinating and compiling clarifications that arise from those follow ups to ensure the product offered meets the customers’ requirements and ultimately secure orders from those enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the New business team to introduce the service & spares options to the new business customers.
• Develop opportunities for installation and commissioning work
• Extract historical product/item data from system or paper archives 
• Obtain quotes from suppliers for single source propriety items.
• Produce cost estimates using internal costing system, and historical system costs
• Follow up on Tenders sent to the customers by the service team
• Support with clarifications arising from follow ups on the already submitted bids.
• Register the orders on the system
• Create part numbers for propriety items, which are pre-Visibility,
• Pass the orders through to engineering/production as required
• For suborders not requiring factory planning or engineering input place requisitions onto the system for purchasing to buy.
• Gain confirmation from the factory of achievable delivery date and then acknowledge the order
• Manage customer feedback during order in relation to delivery expectation
• Prepare certificates of conformity
• Carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested by Line Manager, that are within the role holders ability

After Sales Support Engineer will have good communication skills at all levels of the business, with good written and verbal communication and well developed interpersonal skills. Possess good organisational skills with a genuine ability to multitask.

A level qualified in Engineering or similar applicable field to aid in the understanding of technical drawings and specification relating to our product.

Understand Rotating Electrical Machines, desirable, experience of working within an engineering manufacturing environment.

In return our client is offering a competitive salary dependant on experience up to £35K per annum. This is a permanent, full-time role Monday to Friday with early finish on Friday.
