After School Club Assistant

Hours of work: 7.5 per week, 3:00pm – 4:30pm Monday to Friday
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

We are looking for an After School Club Assistant for Polegate School.

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our After School Club team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of a range of activities, supervising children, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. They will be an important role model for our pupils, helping to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

We want to give the children an inspirational adventure after a long day at school at our After School Club. We provide a creative range of activities from sport, cooking to art. All our activities are designed to complement the school day while also presenting additional opportunities to encourage the children to get active, explore the outdoors, relax, unwind and express themselves, try something new and develop new relationships with others across the school.

The club has a real relaxed, family feel. Could you be part of this team and make our After School Club a place they love to be?

Level 2 or 3 Qualifications in play work or childcare or working towards or willing to work towards this qualification would be an advantage, but not necessary.

A certificate in food hygiene and a first aid qualification would be desirable but not essential as training will be given.

You will be fully supported through an Induction program and introduced to your role.

Visits to the school are welcome and encouraged.
