This post will be responsible for supporting the implementation NHSE WT&E KPIs allocated to the NCL AHP Faculty. The role is responsible for providing operational leadership and support to Faculty subgroups, focusing on apprenticeships, support workforce, preceptorships, student placements and other workforce and education areas as deemed appropriate by the AHP Faculty. The role involves workforce development across North Central London Integrated Care System in collaboration with the AHP Faculty and stakeholders. AHP Faculty Deliverables: To assist the AHP Faculty Lead to develop a clear understanding of the workforce issues across the ICS and develop an ICS/faculty AHP Strategic Workforce Plan. To support Provider organisations with the implementation of the HCPC preceptorship principles and AHP Implementation Framework. Contribute to the regional standardisation of preceptorship /early careers programme for newly qualified AHPs. To support Provider organisations with the implementation of Pre-Preceptorship Best Practice guidelines. To collate and analyse system staff retention data- baseline and at regular intervals. Develop tools and processes to support the embedding and practical use of the AHP Educator Career Framework in practice. Facilitate a pilot- ELfH 'Supporting AHP students to enhance the quality of practice education Ensure the growth of placement capacity in private, independent, voluntary organisations (PIVOs) Establish Higher Development Award (HDA) current uptake through a review of the statistics. Facilitate engagement activities to understand barriers to engagement with the HDA. Encourage providers to contribute to the 60 HAD Regional starts ambition. Support the Support Worker Sub Group to engage an FE college in NCL to develop a long term programme for AHP support workers. Facilitate the active promotion of the HDA to AHP staff in all providers through an ICS wide campaign. Promotion of Higher Development Award as a career pathway for support workers Implement best practice guidance across the ICS for HDAs Contribute to achieving the national target of improving NHS workforce to reach EDI targets Support region to increase uptake of NETS by 25% across professions with specific attention to paramedics and small/vulnerable professions Contribute to regions RtP Target with a focus on OT, SLT, physiotherapy, diagnostic radiography, and any locally identified priority areas Support how international recruitment is utilised across the ICS and consider options to maximise its potential Support the development of a 5 year regional apprenticeship expansion plan Support the national and regional AHP teams to increase ambition at ICS and trust level and have a clear and measurable impact on workforce growth Actively engage with National AHP Support Worker Programme Support mapping and identifying opportunities for AHPs to develop Advanced Practice pathways
