Pensions Project Service Line Lead - Pensions Dashboards

We are looking for an experienced project portfolio delivery leader to work in our Pension projects portfolio, initially managing clients’ Pensions Dashboard projects.

Pensions Dashboards are a big movement for the UK pensions industry, and at Isio we have a dedicated team supporting our clients with the preparation and connection to Dashboards. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team and lead the delivery of these Dashboards projects for our diverse portfolio of admin clients. This dynamic role will involve collaborating with different parts of the business to provide a joined-up service for our clients, and will be integral to the success of Dashboards at Isio.

This role can be based in any of our offices on a hybrid workstyle, but ideally London, Croydon, Birmingham or Reading.

Role and Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, prioritise and manage the day-to-day delivery of a portfolio of Pension projects to meet the objectives of the portfolio and the project objectives
• Supports the Dashboard Programme in defining, (and maintaining and enhancing) the Pension Dashboard proposition
• Adopts changes resulting from Regulation, Standards and Industry Guidance evolution
• Supports the Dashboard Programme in setting requirements on other workstreams (such as technology)
• Act as a point of accountability for the successful delivery of projects within the portfolio and act as a point of escalation for the team delivering the projects
• Lead the design and implementation of new processes and operating model changes
• Collaborate with other workstream leads to ensure the end-to-end solutions are complimentary and do not leave any gaps nor overlaps
• Manage a project delivery team including allocating projects and tasks, reviewing performance, providing internal communication, coaching, identify training needs and provide line management support
• Attendance at client and/or trustee meetings
• Ensure the team have appropriate support mechanisms
• Act as a coach and mentor
• Support the development and implementation of project delivery processes development and support continuous improvement
• Maintain resourcing models
• Ensure all projects adhere to quality assurance processes and meet quality assurance requirements
• Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain a view of project delivery over the portfolio
• Produce governance reporting and attend governance forums to reporting on progress as required
• Provide problem solving solutions and remove barriers or blockers to successful delivery
• Identify and manage project delivery risks

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience in a leadership or management role in the pension industry and knowledge of both defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes
• Previous experience in managing portfolios of projects or in programme management
• Project management experience and/or qualifications
• Excellent knowledge of Pension and actuarial calculation and/or data projects
• Strong technical pensions and legislative knowledge and understanding.
