Air & Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator

Our specialist freight and project shipment solutions Client are looking to appoint an Air &Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator 

to join their busy Import & Export Operations department within their Birmingham branch.

Reporting to the Airfreight Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating air freight activities on a day-to-day basis, with a particular focus on export operations.

Air &Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator duties include:

• Arranging Export airfreight shipments from start to finish.
• Booking with selected carriers, processing relevant documentation and processing invoices on time.
• Submitting export customs declarations in the system Cargowise.
• Hands on approach with all aspects of the forwarding process.
• High communication skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Build internal relationships with colleagues and externally with customers, suppliers, and overseas colleagues.
• Proactive with strong organisation skills.
• Building and developing strong customer relationships.

Skills, Experience and Competencies required from the Air &Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator: 

• 3 Years + Freight Forwarding industry knowledge
• Knowledge and experience of Import/Export multimodal business
• Knowledge/skills required for Air Freight pricing

We're keen to speak to people who have a general good understanding of logistics processes and procedures, including ocean Freight Operations and knowledge of hazardous cargo.

You'll be organised by nature and will thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere.  Being proficient in Microsoft Office, having excellent attention to detail skills, as well as being good with numbers and a confident communicator are imperative attributes for the Air &Ocean Export Freight Operations Coordinator.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.  In return, the successful Air Freight Operations Coordinator will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.
