What you’ll do:
Eaton Aerospace Group Mission Systems Division (MSD) has an opening for a AAR Programme Management Lead located at the Wimborne, UK facility. This position has direct reporting to the Wimborne Plant Manager. The primary function of this position is to lead the Air-to-Air Refuelling Programme Management Activities and to ensure P&L commitments are achieved by aligning, engaging all support functions required through the various IPTs.
The primary responsibilities of the role include organizational capability development, global Aerospace alignment, improved program execution using disciplined Programme Mangement processes, risk management and portfolio/resource planning using leading indicators & metrics. Additional areas of focus will be the implementation of organizational performance measures, aligning with Business Development on new contracts, and advancement of Programme Management capabilities to support the development of next generation products and systems.
- Lead a team of approximately 45 highly professional & technical Programme Management staff to assure that financial and customer commitments are delivered.
- Leading a cross functional team to ensure that milestones are clearly understood and all functions are working towards the same goal.
- Organize and build talent base within the AAR organisation, create opportunities for growth and development of the PM team. Provide functional leadership for PM’s and cross functional teams.
- Assure that efforts to improve the efficiency of the PM functions are emphasized through creative organizational management, effective use of PM tools, appropriate training and continuous improvement.
- Forecast future worldwide aircraft system activities and customer plans to determine opportunities and threats.
- Establish appropriate action plans internally and jointly with customers to address the potential impact of customer requirements.
- Identify key Programme Management metrics, monitor performance and implement improvements accordingly.
- Ensure the team are effectively managing the Profit and Loss account for Air to Air Refuelling – identifying risks, opportunities in line with the business planning cycle.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
- 10 years of experience within aerospace or a high-tech industry
- 15 years of experience within the aerospace industry including experience in Air-to-Air Refueling and/or components.
- 8 years of experience leading or managing people (direct of indirect)
- Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience in defining/executing business level strategy.
- Familiarity with Air-to-Air Refueling and products is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, experience with portfolio and program management skills, knowledge of customer strategies, successful bid strategic knowledge, creative/innovative thinking.
- Proven track record of driving change and ability to develop and execute Programme Management plans.
- Experience of managing a Profit and Loss
- Experience in leading or managing a global team
