Role Overview:
- As a Pulse Air Permeability Tester, your primary responsibility is to evaluate the airtightness of buildings and enclosures. This assessment helps improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and overall building performance.
- You’ll work closely with construction professionals, architects, and building owners to ensure compliance with air leakage standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct airtightness tests using the Pulse system.
- Set up the Pulse unit centrally within the building or enclosure.
- Perform measurements at low pressure (approximately 4Pa) to simulate real-world conditions.
- Assess air leakage rates and enclosure integrity.
- Determine the air change rate representative of normal inhabited conditions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret test results and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations (such as Part L1A) and retrofit guidelines (such as PAS 2035).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with the operation and setup of the Pulse system.
