MPI have a requirement for an Airworthiness Engineer/Technical Services Engineer to work at East Midlands airport.This is a permanent role and the rate of pay is between £52,000 - £58,000 (depending upon experience)Our Client is an air cargo operator with a long and significant history within the UK and European air cargo market. Our Client operates a mixed fleet of Boeing 737 Classic, 737NG and turboprop aircraft to deliver competitive on-time performance for a portfolio of major global logistics organisations, national mail carriers and ad-hoc charters. They maintain both a UK AOC and European AOC as well as a partnership with another major European carrier in order to meet customer needs regardless of changes to the economic and political landscape.Role SummaryProvide Part “M” / “CAMO” Airworthiness Support Function within the Technical Services Department. Support the CAMO Manager to maintain control of all applicable airworthiness requirements and maintain all data required to demonstrate compliance. Support the Accountable Manager to investigate Occurrence reports submitted to the Safety Management System. Provide technical support to resolve aircraft technical defects, with a focus on Airframe and Structural Repairs.ResponsibilitiesPeriodic review of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes against fleet Maintained Aircraft. Implement/validate changes to the AMP and ensure all AMP requirements are being controlled effectively in the computerised maintenance system.Undertake reviews of incoming aircraft transferring aircraft into and out of our Clients Maintenance Programmes to ensure compliance with all applicable airworthiness requirements and define bridging requirements as required.Perform Airworthiness Directive and non-mandatory SB/SL assessment and manage embodiment onto the aircraft. Generate AD/SB compliance reports periodically or as required to support Airworthiness Reviews (ARCs).Provide expert technical support to assist in all aspects of repairs, modifications and configuration changes carried out on fleet aircraft, and subsequent management of the aircraft AMP and reports to demonstrate compliance with all resulting changes.Perform technical authoring of maintenance instructions (work cards) to comply with all airworthiness requirements and provide technical support to maintenance planning department.Liaison with relevant aircraft manufacturers to gain and implement approved repair schemes and assist with problematic defect diagnosis.Liaison with component or accessory vendors to assist with problems encountered, including fault tracing.Management of the approved Part Number and Interchangeability database in accordance with the approved maintenance data.Work with colleagues across Europe in support of wider group level projects to dynamically reposition aircraft between AOCs to meet contract requirements.Manage Subcontractor organisations to maintain active airworthiness control of aircraft for which certain airworthiness activities are Subcontracted.Investigation of Occurrence Reports in support of the Safety Management System.Other reasonable airworthiness activities and tasks as directed by the Technical Manager or CAMO Manager.Academic/Educational RequirementsEducated to Degree Level, B1 License or equivalent.Required Skills/Experience:Preferably 7 years + Aviation Engineering experience.Comprehensive understanding of Part M/CAMO and Part 145, and UK National Requirements.Effective interpersonal skills.Effective Information Technology skills.Possess confident and effective communication skills in English (both written & verbal).Ability to make good judgements based on the needs of the company operation, in a very fluid, fast changing environment.Proven problem solving, planning & organisational skills.Desirable Skills/Experience:Previous experience in a Continuing Airworthiness Management organization.Previous experience as B1 licensed engineer performing or supervising sheet metal or composite repairs to airframe, fairings and flight controls, and/or managing continued airworthiness of aircraft structures in a CAMO environment.Previous experience liaising with FAA DER or UK/EASA Part 21 to obtain approved aircraft repair data.Experience on B737CL/NG (or similar Boeing products) and/or ATR 42/72.Experience with Trax EMRO maintenance control software.Able to demonstrate experience performing a majority, or all of, the Responsibilities described above
