How will you add value to the OpenPayd journey?

    • Assist the Head of AML and Director of Compliance in the establishment and maintenance of effective anti-money laundering systems and controls;
    • Collaborate with the global compliance team to ensure consistency and alignment with global AML standards and customer due diligence requirements;
    • Review and enhance the customer due diligence and onboarding processes, ensuring both compliance and a seamless, efficient customer experience;
    • Together with the Head of AML, supervise all customer due diligence related day-to-day tasks;
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with various business divisions, placing particular emphasis on fostering collaboration with the sales and customer success teams;
    • Assist the teams in reaching customer onboarding targets by providing AML expertise and guidance;
    • Participate and lead compliance customer calls as needed;
    • Deliver AML training and mentorship to personnel across all organisation levels, extending support to both the compliance team and other divisions;
    • Stay informed about changes in AML laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders;
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on AML activities to the UK MLRO and Head of AML, the Director of Compliance, and other relevant global stakeholders;
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management and operations ensuring a coordinated approach to AML compliance globally;
    • Collaborate effectively with the global compliance team on initiatives and projects;
    • Undertake other responsibilities necessary for the proper performance of the role.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, or a related field; advanced professional certification (e.g. ICA, CAMS) is a plus
    • 3+ year’s experience in a similar AML role, with a deep understanding of UK and EU AML regulations and best practice in the financial industry
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders;
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
