WHAT TO EXPECT
The chemistry laboratory covers a wide variety of techniques to identify engineering and field failures in a number of materials, such as polymers, metals, air, oils, greases and fuels.
Capability includes (but is not limited to) thermal analysis, chromatography, ICP, spectroscopy, microscopy (including scanning electron microscope).
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Provide Analytical Chemistry expertise to customers
Perform required analysis of materials including providing customer reports
Maintain applicable STJLR and TPJLR standards according to their review schedule.
Ensure the required inventory of chemical consumables for routine analyses are available
Ensure all necessary health and safety requirements are met
WHAT YOU NEED
Previous laboratory experience and background in analytical analysis
Experience in key analytical methodologies – ICP, chromatography, TGA, DSC, IR Spectroscopy
Experience in writing analytical test methods
Understanding of key vehicle systems
Experience in handling complex situations at a technical level
