The Fellowship offers an exciting opportunity for an early career researcher with a doctorate in a science discipline to conduct research on West African metals and metallurgy. The research will bring an existing project to completion, by analysis and interpretation of data on metal composition and manufacturing. The results improve understanding of the Museum's collections in this region in terms of techniques of production and possible history and context of use.
