We are currently working with an Walk in centre situated in the Sheffield, S1 area.

Rates: £43p/h weekday , £48 p/h weekend rate

No Home Visits Required

Walk-in Centre providing treatment for minor injuries and minor illness. The centre is open from 08.00-22.00 every day.

The ANP/ACP will work as an autonomous Practitioner to assess, diagnose and plan care for patients; including prescribing of medications where qualified to do so, and where clinically indicated.

They will use of their expert clinical and knowledge to manage patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated problems in addition to those with chronic long term conditions.

If you are working at the Centre as a triage practitioner, you are expected to manage the patients in the waiting room and determine the clinical urgency of their presentation.

This will be based on your clinical judgement and their physiological observations.

Patients’ clinical priority must be communicated to the clinical team so that patients are safely seen in order of their clinical priority. This is done by designating their triage category on System 1 ( information pack to be provided with this information on booking sessions) and in some cases, instant messaging the team/using the emergency buzzer to flag up unwell patients in need of urgent assessment.

The standard target time to complete this initial assessment is 15 minutes from arrival.

Every member of staff must ensure they bring their own equipment as this will not be supplied through the site. Must have: stethoscope, saturation probe, thermometer, otoscope and anything else they feel may be required. Here at WIC we keep any disposable stock such as thermometer covers and otoscope covers however if you feel your equipment uses specific disposable attachments, please bring your own.

Car Parking

There is car parking behind or across from the building with pay and display payment facilities, or there is a secure Q Car Park on Newcastle Street which is situated towards the rear of the building.
