Job summary

We are Defence Global Practice (DGP) and we are searching for a professional, motivated AO Pre-Screening Admin Support to join our encouraging and friendly team at DMS Whittington, Lichfield.

DGP is an inclusive and dedicated organisation working hard to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel.

This is a full time role consisting of 37 hours per week.

Job description

The successful candidate will support the Global Medical Supportability Cell (GMSC) administratively in the delivery of a safe and appropriate screen process for eligible family members of Service Personnel, Civil Servants and their eligible family members. To provide administrative support to the DGP (Defence Global Practice) in the absence of the DGP (Defence Global Practice) in the absence of the DGP administrative staff.

Person specification

Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing and maintaining a central database to track all eligible MOD personnel screening forms from submission into the GMSC to conclusion of the assessment of needs for the accompanied overseas assignment.
  • Registering and maintaining the registration of all eligible MOD personnel on the Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP) medical platform.
  • Managing the submission of Microsoft (MS) Forms screening questionnaires, uploading onto DMICP, creating appointments, and ensuring the MS form is ready for review by GMSC clinical team. Ensuring all documents are handled and maintained in accordance with the Caldicott Principles.
  • Liaising with Service Personnel, civil servants, and eligible family members to provide updates, advice, and guidance on the screening process. If necessary, directing the individual to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Liaising with Defence Supply Chain Operations and Movement families section to ensure efficient running of the screening process.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
