Our client is actively searching for a proficient Application Support Engineer for a contract role. We are seeking individuals who blend technical expertise with excellent communication skills to ensure the optimal performance and support of critical applications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt response and resolution to user-reported issues related to applications, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose application-related problems, escalating when necessary.
- Collaborate with development teams to comprehend and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document and maintain accurate records of application configurations, issues, and resolutions.
- Contribute to creating and updating knowledge base articles to facilitate efficient issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise of over 5 years as an Application Support Engineer.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical challenges associated with various applications.
- Experience working with databases, middleware, and application servers such as SQL, Linux and Oracle
- Knowledgeable in scripting languages and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
