Company Introduction:
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our global Data Analytics clients!
They are currently looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer / Application Support Engineer to join their team for a 12 month contract.
The Role:
This position serves as a subject matter expert for a specific team of SREs to manage, maintain and debug client production environments.
The Required Skills / Experience:
Must have good experience querying the SQL Databases & being able to code in SQL.
Must have experience providing Application Support in a Production Environment
Must be able to troubleshoot Windows Servers and Windows Applications (this experience needs to be current and very strong).
Must be able to read and understand the functionality of code written in .Net / C# / F# ideally and be able to debug applications written in .Net / C# / F#.
The clients applications are deployed on AWS so this cloud solution is their preference.
Must be able to work independently when required.
Excellent communication skills are a must.
Experience troubleshooting Linux Servers is nice to have but not essential.
The Responsibilities:
Deploys current applications into all production systems (Staging / Pre-production / UAT / PROD)
Troubleshoots Applications and Systems
Performs moderate Testing/QA of Applications after they are deployed
Establishes Testing/QA deployment guidelines
Monitors existing client systems to ensure all things work correctly
Implements automation steps using proprietary worker/jobs Management Control system
Handles communication with Support team to triage issues related to running systems
Constructs SQL queries and/or programming scripts for processing system workloads
Diagnoses system performance problems
Assists with the daily support of systems/products through early detection and monitoring of systems
Works closely with support groups assisting them in their analysis and problem recovery
Other related duties as assigned.
