A dynamic and forward-thinking not-for-profit organization situated in the lively market town of Northallerton in North Yorkshire, is currently on the lookout for a proactive individual to join as a ITC Applications Support Specialist.
As an ICT Application Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be collaborating with colleagues across the organization to optimize hardware and software systems to enhance business performance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify application and system requirements, as well as liaising with third-party vendors to plan, implement, train, and support these systems.
At times you will also be required to offer wider support to the ICT Service, operating as a escalation point to provide specialised application and software support.
Salary : £35,500
Location : Northallerton
Hybrid working : Yes, this is an agile role though being commutable is required
Working Hours : Monday – Friday, standard working hours
THE ROLE
From overseeing project implementations to providing specialized 3rd Line ICT Support, every day will offer new challenges and opportunities for growth:
- Oversee projects for creating new hardware and software to help business activities and plans.
- Provide specialized 3rd Line ICT Support and act as a subject matter expert on applications.
- Ensure operational support and management of various applications and data.
- Correct errors, modify existing software, and upgrade hardware/interfaces for better performance.
- Investigate and escalate technical issues, utilizing third parties if necessary.
- Install various software systems following ICT change management procedures.
- Collaborate on user training materials and deliver training sessions.
- Monitor system functionality and supervise third-party suppliers and contractors.
- Continually review vendor release notes to optimize system utilization.
YOUR SKILLS
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience across:
- Extensive experience in similar roles with Office 365, CRM, and ICT helpdesk systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform for process automation.
- Familiarity with Unified Communications, Teams, and Cloud-based telephony.
- Competence in server, networking, and mobile device management (IOS & Android).
- Expertise in application deployment, Cloud-based application support, and SharePoint administration.
- Knowledgeable in UK GDPR governance and data migrations.
- Experience with board management systems and methodical hardware/network maintenance.
- Strong communication skills, project management experience, and customer service orientation.
- Significant experience collaborating with 3rd party suppliers and leading meetings.
- Ability to learn new technologies, explain technical issues clearly, follow procedures, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a team.
