To learn how to provide administrative support to Operational Services in order to assist in the delivery of an efficient Works & Recycling Service. To receive training and development to enable the post holder to:
• Maintain personnel records, including weekly timesheets, holiday and absence records and personnel files
• Maintain accurate records and registers
• Develop and maintain database records in relation to work schedules, etc.
• Process purchase invoices, including checking details of goods received, dealing with supplier queries and preparing for payment
• Be able to use the Council’s E-procurement system
• Receive telephone enquiries from the public and customers in relation to services provided by Works & Recycling. Produce accurate letters, minutes, reports, memos and contract documentation including minutes at team meetings
• Undertake a wide range of general administrative duties including word processing, filing, photocopying etc
• Comply with appropriate statutory requirements, Council policies and procedures, including health and safety, security, data protection, reporting concerns to the appropriate person
• Actively support the Council’s Equal Opportunities policy
• Contribute to the overall aims and targets of Operational Services and appreciate and support the role of other team members
• Be aware of the Operational Services performance management framework and participate in training and development activities as required
