Apprentice Animal Keeper (Apprenticeship)

The Apprentice Animal keeper duties will include;
assist in day to day care of animals
feeding
daily health checks
cleaning and sanitising of enclosures
adhering to health and safety policies, safe systems of work and risk assessments
dealing with the public with general enquiries
possibly doing animal encounters and public talks
administering medication, measuring weights etc under direction of senior staff
build and provide enrichment for a variety of animals
general site maintenance, including cleaning and tidying
Training
All training provided on site at the employers premises by the employer and Haddon Training.
Qualifications required
level 4 maths and English GCSE's or equivalent desired but not required. You may need to work towards your maths and/ or English Functional Skills.
