We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised Apprentice Communications and Recruitment Administrator to join our team in Widnes.

This is initially a fixed term role for the duration of the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

What you’ll do

In this newly created role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge, and competencies in order to perform the following administration duties at a competent level.

· Report to the Communications and Engagement Officer and support them with the delivery of the internal Communications and Recruitment strategies

· Support with the creation of the quarterly newsletter, slide decks and other communications to promote events, projects, the company strategy and initiatives

· Co-ordinate content for a wide variety of channels, including the intranet, email, Workplace, Linked In, Indeed, posters and branding

· Maintain the distribution lists, photo library and consent documentation

· Provide support with the delivery of the engagement calendar and wellbeing plans

· Take responsibility for Workplace and Teams administration

· Ensure that the internal jobs portal is regularly updated and accurate

· Support with new starter onboarding administration, including preparing offer letters, completing pre-employment checks, and communicating with new colleagues ahead of their first day

· Request IT access and equipment for new starters

· Assist with the creation of job adverts, shortlisting candidates and setting up interviews

· Monitor the return of completed new starter onboarding plans

· Track completion rates for annual reviews and provide regular updates for managers

· Ensure that leaver exit interviews have been completed

· Book meetings and schedule training sessions for colleagues

You’ll also have the chance to provide administration support to other teams within Evolve to gain the skills and experience you’ll require to complete your apprenticeship portfolio.

As an apprentice, you will:

· Attend college/study sessions as required

· Work with an assessor/mentor to develop a work-based portfolio

· Undertake work-based assignments within specific timeframes

This role is ideally suited to a confident and pro-active person who is keen to learn.

What you’ll need

  • GCSE Maths & English Grade 4 or above/equivalent
  • High levels of written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • Full competency of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • An interest in Communications and Recruitment
  • Confidence to speak to others over the phone
  • A team player with the ability to work using your own initiative
  • An interest in social media/video/photography would be beneficial
