Apprentice Communications Assistant

We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised Apprentice Communications Assistant to join the TeamUHBW communications team.
In this 18 month role you will have the opportunity to develop through education, training and practice of the fundamental skills, knowledge and competencies to perform the following duties at a competent level in the Communications Department.

• Report to the Head of Communications and support them and the rest of the communications team in the delivery of all communications.
• Support the external and internal teams within the communications function by carrying out admin support as required and filing media coverage
• Maintain the photo library, distribution lists and contact databases.
• Act as a guardian for the NHS and Trust brand guidelines, implementing the guidelines consistently across your work. Contribute to the development of the Trust’s brand as required.
• Support the graphic designer with the management of an effective image and asset library, with a log of filming and photography consent documentation in line with GDPR requirements and Trust policies. Take steps to decommission assets or renew consent over time, in line with Trust policies
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, at all times demonstrating awareness and sensitivity
• Ensure all orders and invoices relating to the communications team are dealt with appropriately, and managed in line with Trust protocols.
• Maintain and enhance your own personal and professional skills and competences, undertake the training required to complete your apprenticeship and your personal development plan.
• Undertake any other duties which might reasonably be required, commensurate with the post.
• The role will require a significant amount of desk based work and also a frequent requirement to attend meetings/photo shoot
