Due to the success of our Nursery and the increase in children's numbers, we are looking for an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner's to join our happy and friendly team with on the job training.
This role is suitable for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about beginning (or progressing) their career in child care, you will work alongside our qualified Early Years Practitioners, supporting the care and development of children aged 0 to 5.
You should be eager to learn and (with experience) gain more responsibility throughout this apprenticeship; aiming to progress through to becoming a qualified Nursery Practitioner (and potentially through to Room Leader and beyond in the future).
A good work ethic is required and the ability to communicate effectively with the people around you, including children, parents and other staff.
Your Responsibilities and Duties will see you assisting with:
- Providing a safe environment for children.
- Children’s learning and development.
- Daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery.
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with local schools and the community.
- Supporting children’s behaviour and acting as a role model.
- Ensuring the environment is stimulating and appropriate, including equal opportunities.

Hours of Work
The role is for 40 hours a week (8 hours a day excluding 1 hour lunch break, across 5 days Monday- Friday), the hours of work will vary day to day as employees follow shift patterns to facilitate the Nursery opening hours of 7.30 to 6.30, for example 7.30 to 4.30, 8.00 to 5.00, 9.30 to 6.30 etc.
