We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Greenkeeper. As an integral part of our grounds maintenance team, you will assist in the upkeep and improvement of our golf course or other green spaces. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in greenkeeping, while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in mowing, watering, and fertilizing turf.
- Maintaining bunkers, tees, fairways, and greens to a high standard.
- Operating and maintaining machinery and equipment used in grounds maintenance.
- Assisting with landscaping projects and planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Participating in pest and disease control activities.
- Following health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- Passion for outdoor work and interest in horticulture or greenkeeping.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and stamina for manual labor.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
