As an Apprentice Hospitality Supervisor, you will be based in one of our busy kitchens at the Santander Unity Place site. You will be responsible for supporting the Manager, supervising and leading a team of front of house staff involving the production, preparation, presentation and serving of the kind of food that truly brightens our clients\' and customers\' days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK. Tasks could include, but not limited to the following: To set up rooms, events and event spaces To support the management team To complete the opening and closing checklists and to ensure that everything on them has been done To ensure that the front of house areas are clean, tidy and attractive during opening times To produce weekly rotas following the manager’s guidelines To place orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels To ensure that all deliveries are checked and put away promptly and correctly To ensure waste is kept to a minimum during beverage production To delegate where necessary and ensure the team are pro-active at all times To cash up at the end of a late shift and complete beverage stock takes when required In the absence of the Catering Manager assist in the completion of weekly bookwork and any other duties that are deemed necessary Be pro-active at all times and use initiative, diplomacy and discretion to solve any problems that may arise To ensure all food items are prepared and served to the standard To ensure brand standard and mystery customer criteria are met at all times To ensure you and your team members are knowledgeable on all food and beverage products on offer To take an active role in any unit sales promotions and make your own suggestions to help increase sales To make sure that the team meet the legal and Company requirements for fire, safety, health and hygiene There is supervision responsibility of other staff in this role. Alongside your day-to-day duties, you will complete the Hospitality Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship. This is a nationally recognised qualification, and the primary objective of the Hospitality Manager is to supervise and lead a team of front and back of house staff in their daily duties. You will either be attending college 1 day per week or you will learn ‘in-unit’.You will be supported through this qualification by your Personal Development Coach who will visit you at your place work every 6-10 weeks. All travel expenses will be covered by your employer. You are not expected to complete any of your Apprenticeship work outside of your normal working hours and will be given set time each week to complete your work.
