An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Library Services Assistant
Within the Library Services department at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.
Our Library Services apprenticeship offers you the chance to earn a salary, gain valuable experience and new skills, whilst supported to achieve a professional qualification.

Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust’s library service plays an important role in supporting clinical governance, evidence-based healthcare, lifelong learning, and research within the Trust as well as supporting undergraduate and postgraduate education.
This role involves:
Providing technical assistance and training to users and answering a range of enquiries
Working without close supervision and within a team supporting the Library Manager.
Staffing the library issue desk.
Carrying out administrative and clerical operations.
Taking specific responsibility for the following areas of Library service:
Document supply
Receiving stock and resources
Reports and statistics
To enable the apprentice to work within the Library team to gain confidence, experience and build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation.
As a member of the Library team, you will assist in the day-to-day operational work of the service. This will involve liaising with members of staff across the team, locality and organisation and external organisations as required.
Apprenticeship Programme details:
Apprenticeship standard - Library, Information and Archive Services Assistant, Level 3.
Training provider will be SCCU uk.com
The programme will be on a fixed term contract for 18 months.
