The Team

The Next Generation Talent Team are pivotal in attracting and pipelining the Next Generation of talent, through a variety of inclusive programmes, with an overall aim to close the gap in the shortage of critical skills for now and the future in line with DHL Supply Chain growth ambitions.


WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN ON PROGRAMME?

 Our Business Administration Level 3 Programme is all about developing the skills required to become a subject matter expert. From day one, you'll take on real responsibility with a supportive culture that helps you get the most out of your time as an Apprentice, whilst building on your stakeholder management skills

WHAT KIND OF WORK WILL I DO?

Working within our Next Generation Talent Team you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Graduate, Apprenticeship and Industrial Placement programmes, you will be the glue that holds the team together by supporting on a number of tasks that allow the Next Generation Talent Team to design and deliver excellent opportunities

 Tasks will include but not limited to;

  • Key event planning/management
  • Collations of data /business packs for meetings
  • Support the Attraction manager to manage the external website to ensure it is up to date, and work with the internal comms teams to promote our messaging across DHL owned social platforms. ​
  • Ownership of monthly re charges
  • Manage the checking of candidate's eligibility (RTW) and manage the contracting process
  • Deliver Next Generation Talent recruitment activities, including raising vacancies and offers, responding to candidates and arranging & supporting Experience Days
  • Design and delivery of the keep warm plan between opening recruitment, candidate offers and start dates
  • Support cross-team on-programme events
  • Key user to upload PowerBI reports each month
  • Cross team support for stationary, ordering promotional items, arranging meeting rooms, taking minutes, data, general admin
  • Cross collaboration of multiple stakeholders
  • Ensuring all Key Performance Indicators are met
  • Contributing to Continuous Improvement projects

WHERE WILL THE ROLE BE BASED ?

The role will involve working from home and also travel to different events across the country. Candidates must be based in either

  • Milton Keynes
  • Birmingham
  • Manchester

WHAT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS DO I NEED?

  • You must have achieved G.C.S.E.s in Mathematics and English with Grade C and above/4-9 or have a achieved Level 2 Functional skills in both English and Mathematics
  • Must be fluent in English
  • As part of the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship, you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years as it is a government funded apprenticeship programme
  • Must have a full uk driving license and the ability to travel as events may take place across the UK
  • Flexibility to respond to last minute requests

Compensation?

£21,000 per annum starting salary. As an Apprentice your salary will increase throughout the programme.

We want Apprentices to build their careers, with the option to complete a further apprenticeship at a higher level and could work towards becoming Learner Support Manager within the team Apprentices can contribute their ideas to influence the success of our business and be a part of an organization that makes an impact to society as well as to the world of logistics. After your programme you will transition into the Alumni community to continue the growth of your career. 

WORKING WEEK:

40 hours shift patterns will apply
