Next Generation are pleased to be recruiting for a Despatch Supervisor for a leading global manufacturer who produce machined components supplying into Renewable Energy, Petrochemical and Nuclear markets. As the Despatch Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the packing and despatch department.
The working hours for the Despatch Supervisors role are as follows:
- Monday - Thursday (08.30am 17.00pm)
- Friday (8.30am 14.30pm)

Duties of the Despatch Supervisor:
- To maintain productivity in the department
- Supervise the Packing and Despatch team ensuring that all stock, works orders are completed on time.
- Ensuring a time efficient flow of parts between the two buildings.
- To act as cover for the despatch manger when not on site, taking on daily tasks such as resource management/meeting and any other duties we seem fit.
- Endeavour to finish all daily order requirements in a time-honoured fashion and to ensure that the despatch department is adequately manned to meet the earliest possible end of day.
- Problem solves any issues that arise in the department alongside the Despatch Manager
- Identify any improvements within the department.
- Good level of communication with other department supervisor to maintain a constant flow of products through departments.
- Ensure preservation of products is maintained.
- Ensure that all warehouse staff adheres to company policy and that discipline is maintained.
- To take a responsible approach to Health and Safety
- Fulfil any training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development.
The successful candidate for the Despatch Supervisors position will have the following experience:
- 3 5 years experience working as a Despatch Supervisor (Essential)
- Supervising despatch/packing teams (Essential)
- Excellent attention to detail (Essential)
