Warehouse Despatch Supervisor

Salary: £35,000

Summary:

At Bis Henderson, we are looking for an experienced Despatch Supervisor to lead the outbound operations within a busy FMCG warehouse. The successful candidate will have previous experience leading a warehouse team with an outbound focus. They will also be career driven and looking to progress in line with this company's ongoing growth.

Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, the Despatch Supervisor will support a growing team of initially 10 direct reports. Familiarity with vendor agreements and SLA's is essential, so that the right products arrive with customers in perfect condition. Effective leadership and communication are key in achieving this.

Key Responsibilities as Warehouse Despatch Supervisor:

• Oversee the daily activities of Warehouse Operatives within the despatch section, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
• Motivating and coaching the team to achieve targets, carrying out daily team briefings to ensure goals are clearly defined.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to and all team members are aware of their responsibilities.
• Carry out regular performance reviews with team members and provide coaching and support where necessary.
• Identify areas of improvement within area of responsibility in order to enhance both quality and efficiency of operations.

Key Skills / Experience Warehouse Despatch Supervisor:

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a FMCG environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to lead teams to achieve goals.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
• Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
