What we’re looking for:

  • Will you be aged 18 or above by the time your apprenticeship commences?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for an Apprentice Plumber on a Permanent at our Houghton Hall offices.

A bit about the role:

As an Apprentice Plumber, you will gain valuable insight into the social housing industry by working with the Reactive Plumbing Team. You will be paired with a qualified Plumber to help you gain practical experience and valuable insight into the role and be given training in a variety of activities including plumbing, carpentry, plastering and painting and required to participate in classes and workshops on and off site, complete tests and assignments.

As the purpose of this role is to gain insight into and experience of the Plumbing role, you will spend the duration of your course with the plumbing team to ensure you end the apprenticeship with the most learning and experience possible to help you shape your career moving forward.

You will complete a variety of induction training to settle you in and then begin your Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Apprenticeship. If there is a need for you to complete English and/or Maths at Level 1 Functional Skills, this will form part of your apprenticeship programme.

Some of the key results for the role include:

  • Prioritise the experience of our residents making sure that they are treated with respect and happy with the quality of the work and service provided.
  • Attend workshops and participate in all relevant learning opportunities both in your role and at your course.
  • Assisting within the relevant department, but also learning other aspects of the company.
  • Observe health and safety procedures at all times to protect yourself, colleagues and residents.
  • Learn about various aspects of the job and how your role and the roles of your team positively contribute to the work of the wider Peabody Group.

A minimum of 1 to 2 days working in the Houghton Regis office is required
