Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled or experienced apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our team. As an Apprentice Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to vehicle maintenance and repair. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Duties: You must have the ability to follow instructions at all times.
- Assist routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements , alongside a journeyman.
- Assist Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and brake system failures alongside your journeyman.
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, assemble, and maintain vehicle components
- Understand and Follow schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair complex vehicle systems
- Assist with inspections to identify potential issues or safety hazards
- Learn how to Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions about vehicle repairs
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Comfortable in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Ideally experienced with equipment repair and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
