Job description
NRL Teesside are looking for 2-3 Architectural Technicians, initially on a contract basis to support the design and engineering phase of a high profile project.
Experience in Architectural Design Drafting and/or Shipbuilding CAD Engineering would be advantageous.
You will be responsible for supporting Senior Engineering and/or Project personnel in the completion and delivery of all Engineering related activities and deliverables, for both Enquiries and Projects, as delegated by the Outfitting Design Lead.
- Design and Build of Onshore and Offshore Modular Buildings - New Build Marine & Offshore Architectural Outfitting - Refurbishment of Offshore & Marine Architectural Outfitting - Design & Supply of Naval/Marine/Offshore Galley & Laundry Equipment and Furniture
JOB ROLE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production of 2D drawings & layouts inc. services and furnishings.
Production and management of Document Registers, BOM’s, Schedules and Specifications
Assisting with Site Surveys/visits
Assist with feasibility studies and preliminary design work
Assist with completion of Technical drawings and documents
Attend kick-off and progress meetings with clients, suppliers and stakeholders, as required
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Further Education Qualification(s) relevant/relatable to the role
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree relevant/relatable to the role (Desirable)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines
Excellent organisational skills
Full Driving Licence & Passport (Desirable)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
ESSENTIAL
Competent “user-level” experience with AutoCAD 2D
Microsoft Office and general IT skills
Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment and meet challenging timescales
DESIRABLE
Experience of Interior Fit-Out Design (Hotels, Hospitals, Retail, etc)
Working knowledge of 3D modelling software (Revit, etc)
Experience within the Oil & Gas and Marine or sectors
