Osborne's significance greatly originates in its’ relationship with the Royal Collection Trust. As of April 2023, of the 10,866 collection items listed at Osborne in the EH catalogue, 10,839 belong to HM King Charles III are on loan via agreement with the Royal Collection Trust. This relationship makes Osborne a unique site even within English Heritage varied collection of 400+ sites across the country.
Tasks may include cataloguing written records, or making the oral history collection more accessible and searchable by transcribing and creating summaries of recorded interviews.
This role requires on average 5 hours a week, both on site at Osborne and off site depending on the tasks being carried out at the time.
