Supervise the day-to-day operational delivery of Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and the Council’s Policies & Procedures

Inspect and monitor the effectiveness of Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance services ensuring service provision complies with statutory obligations and meets service delivery and quality targets.

Supervise staff, effectively deploying and monitoring all plant, equipment, materials, and staff resources to ensure cost effective services are provided to satisfactory standards resources to achieve high morale, performance, and consistency of approach for all employees.

To ensure that the Service’s responsibilities in relation to Health and Safety are achieved by implementing, promoting, and monitoring safe working practices and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the Corporate and Service Health and Safety Policies.

Assist in the review and development of changes in direction or improvements to service delivery and supervise the implementation of such changes Investigate and report on enquiries and complaints arising in relation to the provision of street cleansing and grounds maintenance services.
