Area Sales Manager - North
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + commission
Company car provided.
40 hours per week: Monday to Friday
Our client is a leading manufacturer with commercial projects around the world including, Palaces, Hotels, Theatres, Retail Stores, Football Stadiums, and many more public buildings.
We are recruiting an experienced manager to work with customers from the North of the Midlands up to and including Scotland, which you will visit every 8 weeks or so. Bulk of clients based in Leeds, Sheffield, and Manchester.
Responsibilities: Area Sales Manager
- To work with contractors, distributors, retailers, main contractors, architects and specifiers to ensure that business is won at specification stage, or our products are offered as "equally approved" by main Contractors.
- Develop business in new growth areas.
- To gain business by breaking specification when it is detailed as "equal or approved.
Measurement of Effectiveness: Area Sales Manager
This role will be measured by:
Growth of existing sales.
- Visits made with contractors, retailers and some main contractors ensuring business is gained. (a target list will be supplied).
- Development of sales opportunities via projects.
- Visit and develop project opportunities with architects and specifiers.
- Build a close working relationship with sales contacts and work as a team to develop sales into the construction industry.
Experience / Skills / Attributes - Area Sales Manager
- Able to demonstrate persuasive, influential and negotiation skills.
- Good computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to work to procedures that may deal with facts, standards and quality.
- Confident, enthusiastic, well organised and self-motivated.
- Able to generate new business by developing new relationships.
- Enjoy a challenging environment
