Area Sales Manager

Our client in Northamptonshire is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their team!
The position is full-time 40 hours per week with a basic salary of up to 35k. OTE upwards of 50k.
Role Responsibilities:
-Spend growth with self-identified customer base.
-Maintain CRM accuracy for designated accounts.
-Pro-active targeting of prospect businesses within the designated territory.
-Identification of future target prospects.
-Reactive enquiry initial visits.
-Development and cleanse of low spend accounts.
-Development and cleanse of zero spend accounts.
-Growth of accounts to Account Management status.
-Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets.
-Act as an ambassador and role model for the business.
-Increase market share in existing markets and maximise new business development opportunities.
-Achieve targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth.
The Ideal Candidate:
-Minimum 5 years field sales experience preferably from an engineering background.
-Significant experience of developing a sales strategy and delivering it successfully within an environment where reporting and accountability are considered essential.
-Knowledge and awareness of sales processes, procedures, and systems.
-IT Literate with experience of a computerised sales system.
-Contract pricing and bid management experience.
-Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
-Initiative, drive, and enthusiasm.
-Excellent communication and people skills.
-Good planning and organisational skills.
-The ability to work calmly under pressure.
-Attention to detail and able to handle paperwork.
-Happy working to targets and deadlines and able to work under pressure.
-Able to take direction from management.
