An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager with our client based in Diss. This role is a full-time permanent and involves working a 37 ½ hour week, 08:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday. Currently they are following a hybrid working model (2 days WFH), the role will also include site and client visits in your designated territory and some working at height may be required! Salary offered is £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience plus commission. We are seeking a keen and experienced Sales Professional with previous experience within a similar role.

Is a UK sales and manufacturing company operating within the construction industry and home improvement sector. Established 30 years ago the company enjoy a multimillion-pound turnover with representation in the UK, across Europe, Ireland and the US.
The Job
This position is a targeted sales position reporting to the Sales and Marketing manager. We are seeking a pro-active sales professional who will manage their designated sales territory, identifying sales opportunities and nurturing prospects in order to secure specifications for our products and ultimately, complete a sale.
Importantly, you will developing relationships with key architectural practices and building contractors in your region. This is achieved by delivering CPD, site visits and consultations with clients, helping them to specify the correct product to fulfil their brief.
Responsibilities will include:
- Meeting sales targets
- Improving the awareness of the company within your territory
- Maintaining and identifying key architects, builders and contractors throughout the target area
- Keep up to date with large projects and developments being undertaken within the target area
- Proactively develop new business opportunities
- Undertake CPD Presentations (training provided)
- Represent the company at corporate events
- Undertake pre-order meetings on site
- Forge and maintain strong professional customer relationships
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
- Monitor and report competitor activity
- Develop a knowledge of regulations and standards relevant to the industry
Required Skills and Experience
- Highly organised and efficient handling demanding workloads
- Familiar with working to and driven to exceed commercial sales targets
- Outstanding communication skills and a high level of commercial awareness
- Some previous experience within manufacturing for building services would be very helpful
- Confident delivering technical sales presentations to a professional audience
- Happy to work at heights on occasion
- Comfortable with travelling to appointments on site and in practice
