This role is for an Art Lawyer with a contentious background to join a market leading Law Firm in London. The successful candidate will be an experienced legal professional with a strong understanding of art and luxury goods law including; media, defamation and IP disputes.

Description

Art Lawyer (contentious)

• Provide expert advice on contentious art law matters.
• Manage and resolve disputes relating to the sale and purchase of art and other luxury goods.
• Offer guidance on issues related to copyright, authentication and provenance.
• Media disputes
• IP disputes
• Defamation cases
• Represent clients in art-related litigation and arbitrations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in art law.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients within the art world.
• Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive legal services.
• Ensure all advice provided complies with professional ethics and standards.

Profile

A successful 'Art Lawyer (Contentious)' should have:

• A degree in law from a recognised institution.
• A strong understanding of art law, particularly in a contentious context.
• Experience in advising clients in the art sector.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
