An Independent Special School based in a rural setting between Crawley, Horsham and East Grinstead, are recruiting for an Art Teacher to cover a long term sick leave. This period of cover is required to start from 18th January and is anticipated to be ongoing until the Easter holiday. Very easily accessible from the A23 This is a full time - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm. The school are happy to pay to scale and support future development. You will be required to fulfil the full teacher role including planning and preparation of key stage 3 and key stage 4 Art and be able to create and deliver engaging lessons. The Art department is well established and a welcoming team. The school has an established and very successful reputation, achieving numerous outstanding and good Ofsted inspection judgements for educational and care provisions over the last decade. This is a mixed, residential school with students who are aged between 9 - 18. The children are in receipt of an EHCP because they experience a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The school does however also support pupils who experience Asperger or Tourette's Syndrome, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia, Moderate Speech and Language Difficulties, Communication and Language Difficulties, or difficulties with Sensory Regulation. You will need to be an Art specialist Teacher with QTS and up to date experience of the GCSE Art Curriculum. The school are happy to pay to scale.
