Reed Further Education is now recruiting for a Teacher of Art to join the alternative provision department at one of our fantastic Manchester based colleges.
Job Title:Art Teacher
Location: Openshaw
Hours: 2.5 days per week
Salary: £26.90+ per hour
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
Based in the alternative provision department of one of the largest further education colleges in the North-West, this role will involve teaching art to students aged 14 - 18 who are unable to attend mainstream classes.
What the role will entail:
- Develop engaging and inclusive art lessons that cater to diverse student needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to encourage artistic expression.
- Provide constructive feedback to students, promoting their artistic growth and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into cross-disciplinary projects.
- Assess student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school administrators.
What we need from you:
- A degree or similar in relevant subject area
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Track record in effective teaching of subject
- GCSE or equivalent maths and English
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to get one
