Art Teacher

Class Act Teaching Services are currently looking for an Art Teacher in Oxford. The role is in a Specialist SEND School, and is initially on supply with the view to becoming permanent at the school's discretion for an Art Teacher who is able to sit well into the school. 

This Specialist SEND Provision School aims to support every student in the school to develop positive behaviours that can enable the students to succeed not only within school but in later life as well. The School have a curriculum based not only on a student’s academic achievements, but also the development of students as well rounded individuals.

Role of an Art Teacher:

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Art curriculum
• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and safe use and storage of equipment
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons and tailor them to the students in the class
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements of an Art Teacher:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
• Have recent mainstream or SEND school-based experience teaching as an Art Teacher
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant Art related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is desirable
