New Hotel opening! Arts and Cultural Programme Manager

We are recruiting for one of the coolest new opening Hotels coming to Hoxton! Long revered as London's effortlessly cool cultural core, Hoxton's hip new resident is about to hit the scene. The 26-floor art'otel Hoxton (expected in April 2024) promises a dazzling skyline view, screening room, art gallery space, plus two Banksy originals preserved and on public display. With 357 guest bedrooms and suites, 10 Meetings and Events spaces, an art-filled Bar & Lounge with LIVE music, Spa, Gym and two destination restaurants. Cultural and artistic events from the hotel’s art’beat programme will be at the very heart of the art’otel guest experience with opportunities for both up and coming and established artists to create on site.

Seeking an experienced Arts and Cultural Programme Manager, with an epitome of ambition and dedication driven to deliver service that leaves hearts aflutter.

We are looking for an individual with strong commercial awareness, ability to independently and pro-actively execute an extensive programme of events with first-rate knowledge of art gallery curation and film screenings.

As our Arts and Cultural Programme Manager you will:

  • Plan and execute a full monthly calendar of cultural events encompassing Art, Design, Fashion, Music & Entertainment and Wellbeing, enhancing brand engagement for hotel guests and the local community
  • Take lead on the development and execution of the art’beat programme working closely with the Brand Artistic Director
  • Curate unique art exhibitions and film screenings for guests and locals
  • Schedule performances for the LIVE music stage, ensuring alignment with the hotel's cultural identity
  • Develop and oversee Restaurant, Bar, and Music programming
  • Work closely with the Spa Manager to produce fitness and spa programs to enhance guest wellness, coordinating with professionals to offer diverse services.
  • Use extensive local and international connections in the creative communities to identify and collaborate with partners for cultural activations whilst managing the budget effectively
  • Coordinate with multiple departments such as Production, Operations, Marketing and Corporate to ensure the seamless execution of events, maintaining open communication and conducting weekly planning calls to align on upcoming events.
  • Build and foster strong working relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure all programmes are in line with the operations of the hotel
  • Work closely with the PR & Marketing Manager on the management of all Social Media accounts, its content and the hotels photography
  • Serve as an ambassador for the art'otel brand, engaging with guests and VIPs and being one of the visible representatives of the brand to foster strong community relations.
